About Antonio Vivaldi

Antonio Vivaldi, born in 1678 in Venice, was a virtuoso violinist and prolific Baroque composer. Known as the 'Red Priest' due to his red hair, Vivaldi composed over 500 concertos, with 'The Four Seasons' being his most famous work. He spent much of his career working at the Ospedale della Pietà, an orphanage for girls, where he composed many of his pieces.
