El miedo de vivir

The Fear of Living

The fear of living
is the lord and master
of many more fears,
voracious and small,
in a silent anguish
that springs without reason,
and grows many times
choking the heart.
The fear of living
is a bravery!
Wanting to take on
each new day,
it's yours and it's so mine
that bleeds in the beat
just like a challenge
the fear of living.

The fears we invent
bring us all closerecause in fear we are ogether, side by side...
For fear of being robbed
of love, patience
and that bread we earn
with sweat and with care.
Loneliness is fear
that weaves silently,
silence is the fear
we kill by speaking,
and it's a fear the courage
to start thinking,
in the final journey...
without moaning or trembling!
