Ácidos Nucléicos
Hamilton: An American Musical
Nucleic Acids
Nucleic acid has two forms, it's DNA and RNA as well
Its smallest nucleotide unit is called
That are linked phosphate, pentose, and a nitrogenous base
To join and form a chain
In the nucleotides, within the same row
Phosphate keeps linking, forming the little ladder
With the pentose of the nucleotide and the neighbor
DNA has a double chain we can call
Pentose is deoxyribose and the bases that will bind
Adenine binds to thymine
If it's guanine, it's cytosine that joins
Self-duplication, cellular mechanism
Heredity, transcription into RNA
Nucleic acid
And in transcription DNA forms RNA
The double strand opens up, nucleotides pair up
Adenine binds to uracil, if it's guanine, it's cytosine that joins
But if in DNA the base is thymine, in RNA it's adenine that joins
Single-strand RNA that comes from DNA (through transcription)
Pentose is now ribose and the strands can bind (through the
Bases)
Adenine binds to uracil, if it's guanine, it's cytosine that joins
Important process, never-ending
Three RNAs to form the protein
Nucleic acid
Messenger RNA is produced by DNA
Reaching the cytoplasm, the protein starts to form
The second is the transfer, carries amino acids to the
Polysome
The third is known for structural function, called
Ribosome that does cool translation
And to finish, we can never be mistaken again
The bases known as purines can now appear: Adenine
And guanine they are
And the pyrimidines no longer have errors, thymine, cytosine
Uracil will be
So I'll keep singing and keeping this song
Nucleic acid
Hey folks! We saw the nucleic acids, huh! DNA and
RNA
We also saw their importance. Stay tuned then. Just like
In the nucleotide friends
Got it?
