I read in a history book
That so-and-so was a patriot
I felt like a perfect idiot
When reading another author
Who narrated that the man
The aforementioned so-and-so
Was not a blessed patriot
But a cursed tyrant

If the truth is halfway
A prince will be a toad
The wise men are villains
Who steal your shoes
A favor will be halfway
If you later throw it in their face
Caresses on one cheek
And slaps on the other

A poem halfway
Will be smudged letters
A pen that offers you
Tributes to nothing
Give me your whole mouth
Not half of your lips
That sweeten me with kisses
And spit at me with insults

I read in a history book
That your story was mine
I regained memory
Believing what I read
As Litto Nebbia said
Honoring our memory
If the truth is halfway
