Mike Brant, born Moshe Brand in 1947 in Cyprus to Holocaust survivor parents, was an Israeli singer who found fame in France. He began his career performing in clubs before his breakthrough came with the hit song "Laisse-moi t'aimer" in 1970. His deep, emotive voice and charismatic presence endeared him to fans across Europe.
