Un Día Cualquiera

Just Another Day
I've heard they've sounded the retreat
for all the ghosts
of the forgotten street.
I've heard they've imposed a curfew
on the pearl seekers
of the eighth staircase.
And in a distant echo of nameless voices
I've been able to hear
that soulless dawns of unordered relics
can still arrive
Just another day (repeat)
I've heard they're preparing a parade
of the invisible army
from a country that doesn't exist.
I've heard once again children play
showing off their covered faces
with war paint.
And in an old newspaper that has come into my hands
propelled by the gale
I've read that the time of crosses and incense
can still arrive
Just another day (repeat)
And in a distant echo of nameless voices...
Just another day... (repeat)
