De puro curda

Just Drunk
Hey waiter! Serve another drink of cane,
I drink without reason and without rhyme;
I don't do it for love, that's an old trick,
Nor to deceive the heart.
I don't have a bad memory that haunts me,
I have no betrayal to forget,
I drink just because... just drunk!
For me, the occasion is always good.
And what do I care about what people say
That I spend my life at a bar.
That's why I don't stop being decent,
I don't lose my manhood or tarnish my honor.
I like it and that's why I drink,
I never provoke or force anyone
And in the end, if drinking harms me,
I do it with myself... Just drunk!
If a man needs the betrayal of a woman
To have a drink of cane,
He's not a man, he's not cured, he's not deceived.
He's a fool for suffering and losing!
I have my left hand well trained,
I don't drink to endure a stumble,
I drink just because... just drunk!
For me, the occasion is always good.
