Aguanta Corazón
Abel Velazquez
Hold on Heart
How many times, had you planned the grand finale,
If you even dreamed of not fearing, the new life in freedom,
Without melodramas, without tragedies, nor lies,
Hoping that she would grant you the end.
But you failed in your prediction, and today it's your turn to beg,
With the taste of loneliness, still slipping from your lips,
While you walk, between suffocation and anxiety,
The memory of her skin, dying in your arms.
Hold on heart, don't abandon me,
Don't let the strength fail me here,
If you cry for her love, it's better not to cry,
Don't let sadness take us away.
Hold on heart, like men do,
And think that you no longer interest her,
Don't sink into useless reproaches,
And kiss a thousand and one mouths, until hers dies.
Drown in memories, until the moment of crying,
And swallow her legs, and her kisses,
Clutch between your teeth, the attempt to scream,
And die slowly, in your dreams.
Hold on heart, for three reasons,
For you, for yesterday, for the tragedy,
Number one by one, your mistakes,
And charge yourself, by cutting your veins.
Hold on heart, don't abandon me,
Don't let the strength fail me here,
If you cry for her love, it's better not to cry,
Don't let sadness take us away.
