On Mount Calvary Stood A Cross
On Mount Calvary stood a cross
Emblem of shame and pain
Yet I love that cross where my Jesus died
To save the vilest sinner
On Jesus' cross where His blood was shed
I see unmatched beauty
For on it triumphantly He conquered death
And can sanctify my being
Oh, I will always love that cross
In its triumphs my glory will be
And one day instead of a cross
Jesus will give me my crown
On the cross, you suffered my pain
Your blood bought me
Your death gave life
Though the world may despise Jesus' cross
It holds great attraction for me
For on it I bear the Lamb of God
From my soul's condemnation
