Aboio de Vaqueiro
Cowboy's Son
I'm tired of this life, I wasn't born to study
I don't want to know about reading, writing to exist
This is torment, I don't do it from the heart
I'll throw everything up in the air, I don't want to study anymore
I'll go back to my backcountry
There's forest, there's sawmill, there's caatinga and waterhole
Clean air to breathe coming from the vegetation
Here there are tall buildings and a lot of pollution
I'll leave this place, I don't want to study anymore
I'll go back to my backcountry
I'm a cowboy, I'm from the plow
I was born for this, I'll live catching cattle
I thank my parents every day, I think like this
They sent me to the city wanting the best for me
But that's not what I want, I wasn't born to study
I want a horse and a saddle
Whip, an old spur, I'll go back to work
Get up early, milk to drink
Assist in the birth of my cows, and see calves grow
I don't want to know about studying, I'm happy with who I am
I'll go back to my backcountry
In my piece of land I'm a judge and a doctor
I'm a cowboy, I'm from the plow
I was born for this, I'll live catching cattle
