Faith guides the northeastern people
Between the cross and destiny, I am faithful and a preacher
I pray to two saints and wander the subject
And I swear with my feet together that I have two patrons
They talk to each other for our people
Eloquent Saint Anthony and the righteous Saint Joseph
One says there is no equal beauty
And the other tells the strength of the original nation

It was my land baptized by the saint
Where the mango tree has the strength of the root
The cultural and popular identity
Where the Ceará trunk raises the leaves of the country

And the conversation continues between legends and laughter
It scares the children, but it's pure illusion
Progress arrives, time walks on the tracks
Gains in development and industrialization
Forrozeiro hey! Under the silver moon
My life adorned by the ribbons of my sky
