Sixteen Years Old
If the years were to turn green
like leaves in the spring,
then I could relive
my most beautiful age.
Sixteen years old, maybe I was,
and I thought I was already in love.
Time has passed and, I don't know how,
a sweet name comes back to my mind.
First kisses, first tears,
brief moments to dream.
And to exchange a word,
we had to skip school!
Sweet phrases, beautiful dreams,
we believed in our future.
We built beautiful castles
with our thoughts, never lying!
Sixteen years old! How sad
to remember what once was.
Dreams of youth,
that will never come back!
Sixteen years old! How sad
to remember what once was.
Dreams of youth,
that will never come back!
Sixteen years old, maybe I was,
that will never come back!
