Noches Tenebrosas

Dark Nights
It was a dark and cold night, as the hours passed in silence, maybe it was half past eleven on a clock, the flutter of a mockingbird wandering.
To a woman, I had offered my love, I swore to love her as long as she remained steadfast, but without knowing that hidden in her chest, was the sting of a snake to hurt me.
Go woman, may God bless you, now that you want to have many friends, on this stone with chisel and hammer I write, you are forgiven, I lift your punishment.
Go woman, may God bless you, you already broke the chains on my chest, the same wind brings warmth to my sorrows, someone tells me to go young and not fear.
To a woman, I had offered my love, I swore to love her as long as she remained steadfast, but without knowing that hidden in her chest, was the sting of a snake to hurt me.
It was a dark and cold night, as the hours passed in silence, maybe it was half past eleven on a clock, the flutter of a mockingbird wandering.
