Cumbia de La Serpiente
Adiós Amores
Snake's Cumbia
When the beautiful snake
Decides to head to the beautiful city
All her colleagues tell her
That in the jungle is where she belongs
But the snake kept insisting
That she was bored of just looking around
At all the wild fauna
Living peacefully in community
Tired of crawling
Of living on her knees, she starts to rise
In the light of midday
She feels hypnotized by that melody
Coming out of nowhere
It screams at her: 'energy'
She says in that jungle everything sounds the same
The noise of the street would never tire her
And what she seeks is the city life
People waking up dreaming
Living in love, enjoying life
Looking around as they walk
Going out at night, turning it into day
Snake, where are you going?
Snake in the city
With her leather suitcase and a cute hat
She arrived at that place
She, mesmerized
Wanted to find human magic
The flickering lights
Already dazzled her and to the sky
Looking for a hidden alley
Where there's no noise
And she can rest
Among the smoke and asphalt
Siren's crystals
She takes the ashes
That remain on the ground
No trees, no plants
No wooden logs
And people's steps
Stumble against her
And the poor snake will finally understand
That none of that was what she was looking for
That she actually prefers tropical life
Snake, where are you going?
She returns to her place
