God of creation, I want to see you
To know you more each day
Rest on your wings
In the midst of the storm, worship you
Even being the creator, you heard my cry
My beloved, you are Lord

Comfort and shelter, you are Lord
Only you can give perfect love

God is collective but of each individual
Taking care of the nation yet listening to the lost
Touch my heart, extend your hand to me
Help me in the moments I need the most

To wipe away the tears, heal the pain
Of a people who turned their backs on their God
But now on their knees have repented of their sins
And who am I? To be called your friend
And who am I? For the Lord to care about me
Giving your own son to save the lost
Those whom the world abandoned, received your kingdom
The poor, the lonely, the afflicted, the discredited crazy, and the oppressed
The Lord is here and here is my place
