La Guerrillera (feat. Edson Velandia)

The Guerrilla (feat. Edson Velandia)
I, lived in the countryside, had a dog
I planted blackberries and walked barefoot
I had my style, I had my pool
I had talent for singing
I was ten years old with two brothers
I had my parents and a little house
But one night the troop arrived
They killed the four of them and left me alone
A commander, with ten recruits
It was my people who killed him
Because this land belonged to the homeland
And the president claimed it
Just by chance they didn't kill me
Because they didn't see me hiding
And in the morning I went to the mountains
And joined the guerrilla
I became a guerrilla at dawn
When I fell adrift and went to the mountains
Because the one who only learned to sow and water
When the war catches him, where else can he hide?
Now I wake up at 4 to write pure rhyme
And I wrote this song with a tiny pencil
So they can't say I never sang them this story
And hopefully it will end soon
Hopefully it will end soon
