Ella Hace Los Deberes
Agualoca
She Does the Chores
She wakes up to a beep through the little hole in the metal
It's a sunbeam slowly sliding onto her face
She eats poorly, but everything's fine
She likes to watch: Having lunch with Mirta Legran, and she adores TV
Mom went to work, today she's in Liniers
Family houses are always an hour away on Route 3
She plays mom to her six-year-old sister
She makes powdered milk with mate or mixed with tea
Responsibility, she goes to the store
With the notebook, she brings back a quarter of bread and does the chores
The chores, she does the chores
Her break is during school hours
And when it rains badly, the room turns into mud
She puts half bricks to make a path to the hallway and the bathroom
They lift their feet, staying in bed
The worst is when the power goes out, they fall asleep bored
The happiest and also the toughest hour
Is when mom comes back exhausted and the orders weren't followed
And she fell in love with a guy who sings on channel two
And tears come to her eyes out of excitement on Saturdays
When his song is on
The chores, she does the chores
Her break is during school hours
