Ilusion Azul
Agustin Magaldi
Blue Illusion
Proud and haughty like a pagan goddess
You passed by my side showing resentment
And since that day I know I have lost
The ineffable glory of a love dream
I don't miss your kisses that were fake
Nor do I miss your lips of strange sweetness
Nor am I surprised by your great falseness
That has betrayed my love
I only feel
From all your anger
The treacherous spell
That your eyes possess
Eyes that were stars guiding my soul
That steal my peace if they cruelly deny me
When eagerly seeking their loving gaze
Eyes that were the nets where, as a prisoner
I adored you sincerely and you made me a slave
By placing the blue illusion in my soul
But your disdainful and cold soul
Knew nothing of love for my pain
It was your eyes that lied to me
So deceitful, like that brightness
And now I drag the chain of sad memory
Of the beautiful past
Living happily
In the golden arms of that illusion
