Mi Perro
Agustin Magaldi
My Dog
The dog is a companion you can trust
He will not abandon you no matter how dangerous it gets
And if there's a big brawl; he gets very skilled
In case some scoundrel wants to attack him from behind
Because he charges and then comes back to your side
If by chance his owner at any moment
Loses consciousness defeated by drunkenness
If he falls mercilessly to the ground and sleep takes him strongly
He becomes alert and makes sure
No one bothers him until everything wakes up
He's more loyal than a woman; a brother or a friend
It's so true what I say from my point of view
He's noble in his ways and if the owner is a tyrant
Maybe with a profane gesture and if he kicks him
He calls him and comes back again to lick his hand
What's up with the dog!?
Isn't that right, pal?
You bet, buddy!
In my life as a gloomy bohemian due to loneliness
I am inspired with anxiety, I wish I were a genius!
I carry as an unjust prize my maternal misfortune
I lost her at a very young age due to my evil fate
And today I am only supported, oh, by my dog in the taverns!
