Nueve de Julio
Agustin Magaldi
July Ninth
With just one goodbye; I left my home when I departed
Because I never wanted to hear a sob for me
Sad dawn; that I will never forget
Today, why remember all that I suffered?
Distant July ninth; of a divine morning
My heart always faithful; wanted to sing
And to be able to wander around the world
Tireless wandering of a dreamer
Marching towards the ideal with all love
Until finally I left
My mother and the love of the woman I adored
I promised myself; full of glory to return
To be able to offer it to the one I loved the most
And upon returning; sad; defeated and already without faith
I didn't find my love; nor did I find my home
And with pain I cried
Like a wanderer burdened with sorrow
I carry in my soul the disillusionment
And since then it condemns me this way
The infinite anguish of my heart
What can I do if my hours of joy have already passed
They also left since that day?
That with the glories of my triumphs I dreamed
Distant dreams of my crazy youth
I promised myself; full of glory to return
To be able to offer it to the one I loved the most
And upon returning; sad; defeated and already without faith
I didn't find my love; nor did I find my home
And with pain I cried
