Ojos Brujos

Bewitching Eyes
What magical powers are hidden in your eyes?
That remained stuck in my poor heart
That I live as a prisoner submissive to your whims
And shine in my dreams like a vision
What strange expressions radiate from your pupils
That when I gaze at them in silent adoration
They seem like two shining volcanoes that dazzle
Abysses where a passion sinks and dreams
Bewitching eyes that were born to torture my soul
They steal my sleep; they take away my calm; they give me joys; sorrows and pain
Beautiful eyes that I adore so much full of beauty
And even though they are the cause of my bitterness
Looking at them, I want to die!
What does your gaze, woman, have that fascinates me?
If you look with tenderness, you increase my passion
If you look with anger, your eyes dominate me
If you do it with sadness, I die of pain
That sometimes even the flowers
Bow with tenderness at your passing, offer themselves with love
From your bewitching eyes, the pale gleams
I have heard that they wound and kill treacherously
