Sonata
Agustin Magaldi
Sonata
It rains and the water as it sings
Its sonata on my balcony
Brings its sad tic tac
Deep desperation
I sit in the armchair
In front of the slow fire of the old stove
I'm dying thinking of you
And your vision next to me accompanies my suffering
What a fatal melancholy!
Brings this cruel melody
Perhaps its monotony
Comes into my life mocking me
I tremble thinking if it kills me
This damn sonata
Its song is pain and disdain
They are tears from my heart
The rain continues on the window
The song taps away
Its persistent tic tac
Says your name my love
Love, love that I lost
When so cowardly
Death arrived that afternoon
Drowning your voice
And the rain just like today
Poured out its prayer
