Soñé Con mi Madre
Agustin Magaldi
Dreamt of my Mother
I've seen her in dreams; dressed in white
Her saintly eyes fixed on me
Suddenly she approaches and extends her arms to me
And embraced in them she said to me
Come dear daughter, I want to kiss you
I know your soul keeps a place for me
I've seen her in the nights dreaming of me
And then awake, I've seen her cry
I know you cry for my sad departure
And nothing in the world has made you cry
The fateful hour; the lost mother
That one day destiny knew how to take from you
But I have come to give you my kisses
My motherly kisses with such loyalty
And I ask God to let me
Come in the nights; to watch over your dreams
So I've seen her; dressed in white
Who came to care for me in the form of an angel
Oh golden dream; dreaming of my mother
Who returns once again to kiss my forehead!
Oh golden dream! Oh divine dream!
Oh sad moment! Sad awakening!
In the early mornings I opened my eyes
And I saw my mother; who was about to leave
