My Coffee-Eyed One
Poem:
Our path has come to an end, my coffee-eyed one..
Now like a river flowing backwards, like a city in ruins, like a poem written on water, forget my name..
In the emptiness of loneliness, in the dimness of nights, after the loneliness, know that hope is worthless, not hoping my coffee-eyed one..
We lived this love wrongly, broken and shattered, we retired early from this love..
Our hopes always narrowly missed, we scored own goals, we were such amateur gardeners, we withered our roses before they bloomed, withered them my coffee-eyed one..
Now my heart is the target of unhappiness.. crushed my hopes like a millstone..
This giant loneliness no longer fits in the streets.. these Saturdays, these Saturdays, one day I know they will kill me..
My poems scream for you against my will, but the spoiled regrets are not enough for this love that has taken its last shot..
This silence is now a chapter of rebellion.. my bitter laughter rebels against the seasons spent wastefully, against the escapes, the tides, against the tickets cut for our lives..
Yet how many times I erased you from my map, how many times I distanced myself from those coffee eyes..
Come and see, come and see, even my words no longer satisfy myself..
Here is a prisoner of a shovel, here is a prisoner of a heart, at your door again..
This dark love is not over, my coffee-eyed one, it's not over, my coffee-eyed one..
Song:
How many times I distanced myself from those coffee eyes.. come and see, it's not over, this love hasn't ended, it's not ending, my coffee-eyed one...
