Bir Öldük Bin Dirildik
Ahmet Yılmaz
We Died Once, We Were Revived a Thousand Times
We watered the homeland flower
With our blood.
As the buds bloomed
We danced the halay.
We danced the horon.
We were hit with shackles.
Put into cells.
As if this wasn't enough
We were offered to the executioners.
Presented to the guillotines.
Into the heart of betrayal
We were stabbed like a dagger.
In the end, as a reward
We were accused of bravery.
Accused of fascism.
We were stretched on the crosses.
Given to the currents.
Don't think we are 'dead'!
We died once,
We were revived a thousand times...
