Seeking happiness like cartoons on TV

Perishing peacefully because we were good men

Full of trivial satisfaction
We switch from that baby bottle
And end up using a cane

Tears healing the heart because it betrays
Neuron in balance with hormone so pain doesn't consume me
Greedy ambition that devours
I flee from failure, I know its scent

I smile at dusk, sadness fading away
The world belongs to those who fight, it's what unites us
With highs, lows, dignity doesn't settle for crumbs
We grow to shake off that dirt from our feet
Then we turn babies into warriors
