Criaturita de la Ansiedad
Alan Sutton y las criaturitas de la ansiedad
Anxiety Creature
The bell rings
Telling you recess is over
Please don't make a scene
The alarm goes off
Waking you from your so blue dream
Leaving no trace behind
It's not so easy to leave, it's not so easy to leave behind
It's not so easy to live, it's not so easy to let go
I'm an anxiety creature
Always looking for ways to stimulate myself
The sheep on line B comment
Where will I end up?
A fatal victim with nowhere to rest
I postpone my present in exchange for nothing
The tea leaves in my cup comment
Where will I end up?
I glance sideways
At others who are just like me
Playing the game of survival
They walk beside me
And the colorful lights everywhere
Don't let them sleep either
I want you to tell me the truth
What do you see when you look at me?
I'm an anxiety creature
Always looking for ways to distract myself
The ants on the train tracks comment
Where will I end up?
And the days of our youth will slip away
We'll be a spark in the memory of time
A pathetic lament from God's joke
But I have you
And maybe, someday
A taste, a color, a poem
Brings you back
And maybe you come traveling through time
And you pull me out of the dream again
And awaken, once again, in me
My youth
