Pintura En La Pared
Alan Sutton y las criaturitas de la ansiedad
Painting on the Wall
I’ll watch the paint dry on the wall
Jot it down and sign on a piece of paper
Then light it up
What’s the shape and color of the souvenir
You showed me the day I met you
Barefoot and wild?
Growing up means realizing your garden is whole
I tend and water
So I can come back home
Years go by dressed up as something new
They ask for something and I tell them there’s none
And they keep on traveling
I want to be part of it, be paint on the wall
I want to inhabit myself like I never did
Maybe it’ll light me up
Maybe not
I opened the door that is me
Who just wishes
Doesn’t know when it arrived
It’ll be better
Growing up and realizing my garden will be incomplete
I live and die to be able to come back home
I want to want to come back home
