El Bar de La Esquina
Albert Pla
The Corner Bar
I was on a little terrace
a dark midday
having a little drink
in that bar on the corner of the main street
Watching the flies fly
watching life go by
watching the girls
That I would approach all
that I would kiss all
but I lose sight of them
because they pass by quickly
I downed the chinchón in one gulp
through the bottom of the glass
I drew a silhouette
I let my mind wander
I was a little blinded by alcohol
and when I opened my eyes
the blurry silhouette
had turned into a princess
and it was you
and you appeared
and you appeared
I got up from the chair
and headed towards you
can I give you a kiss, girl
and then I felt ashamed of myself
I couldn't resist anymore
and I asked you again
can I give you a kiss, girl
even if it's on the cheek
and you said yes
you answered me yes
could I lift your skirt
and lay you down on my table
can I take you right here
tell me yes, please
you threw the glasses to the floor
that were on the table
you grabbed me in your arms
and your legs opened
and you told me to do it now
come on, do it, come on
and without realizing
we both got tangled up
come on, let's make love
in that bar on the corner of the main street
the customers didn't understand
people were curious
to see what those two were doing
fucking in a bar downtown on the main street
finally a waiter came and scolded us
get out of here, please
and we told him no
oh and we also asked him a small favor
can you, Mr. Waiter
be our matchmaker
marry us right here
marry us, please
you shouldn't do it but oh well, come on
and right there we got married
the waiter married us
we invited everyone
and there, on top of that table
in that bar and on that street
we spent our honeymoon
fifteen very precious days
our love was beautiful (x3)
our marriage was beautiful
