Violetas

Violets
These violets that yesterday
You placed affectionately with deep fervor
I keep them as a symbol of a love
That my eyes have already seen perish
Amidst the morning mist of a cruel pain
They, perhaps, will tell me
In their cold language with much expression
That in vain I hope for the return
Of the bird of love that knew how to give
A world of warbles to my heart
And in this struggle of evil
In the cup of my youth
I drink the fatal wine
From the source of your ingratitude
For, the mortal destiny
Has extinguished my flower of virtue
And next to the violets
That you gave me one day
The melancholy
Of my disappointment
Punish me so much
That I can't take it anymore!
