Walking and Walking to See
Walking and walking to see,
how they steal childhood,
take away the youth,
those who want the world
to be upside down,
forcing kids to work,
robbing them of having
a future full of dreams,
a future of hope,
submitting life
to a petty interest,
as if childhood
were a paper boat.
Walking and walking to see,
how they exploit
from dawn's first light
the child workers
without letting them grow,
they want them adults
by the time they’re ten,
with calloused hands,
and souls as well,
in a sordid world
that doesn’t want to know
that they’re robbed of time
to play and learn.
Walking and walking to see,
where is the shame
of the good people,
those who are deaf and blind
with a wave of disdain
are more than sure
they live in paradise,
where their kids grow
as they should grow
without fears or burdens
with nothing to dread,
walking and walking to see,
walking and walking to see.
With calloused hands,
and souls as well,
in a sordid world
that doesn’t want to know
that they’re robbed of time
to play and learn.
Walking and walking to see,
where is the shame
of the good people,
those who are deaf and blind
with a wave of disdain
are more than sure
that they live in paradise,
where their kids grow
as they should grow
without fears or burdens
with nothing to dread,
walking and walking to see,
walking and walking to see.
