One More Turn
Who are those gentlemen
who argue incessantly
and impose their reasons
with such ill will?
The gentlemen are the owners,
each of a half,
of the wheel of dreams,
of the universal merry-go-round.
They threaten each other
to stop the carousel,
to give us pumpkins
to those of us who ride on it.
If they don't agree
the big wheel will stop,
the joy will go to hell
and we along with it.
One more turn...
one more turn...
don't stop the world,
I don't want to get off.
One more turn...
one more turn...
don't let it stop for even a second
to turn and turn.
One more turn...
one more turn...
don't hide the ring
because I want to win.
One more turn...
one more turn...
let me choose
when I want to get off.
In the street are the people
with their good will.
They have faith, naturally,
and demand incessantly.
Determined in their effort
to want to live in peace
in the wheel of dreams,
of the universal merry-go-round.
However, the first ones
do not want to understand
and they manufacture weapons
to make themselves respected.
They have been partners for a long time
and they will not give up,
they go about their business,
let the others go to hell!
One more turn...
one more turn...
don't stop the world,
I don't want to get off.
One more turn...
one more turn...
don't let it stop for even a second
to turn and turn.
One more turn...
one more turn...
don't hide the ring
because I want to win.
One more turn...
one more turn...
let me choose
when I want to get off.
