Loneliness is something like
searching and not having
someone to be with.
Loneliness is something like
wanting and not knowing
why to cry.
It's a lover on the platform
moving his arm after the train
as if trying to draw
his loneliness.
It's seeing the rain descend
on the street and not having
any story to tell
or forget.
It's like walking without knowing
a place to leave
so that loneliness can rest someday.

My loneliness has the dark
and sad color of love
that didn't last.
A vain attempt to live
a smile that a grimace
left me.
I'm that lover on the platform
moving my arm after the train
as if trying to draw
my loneliness.
Under the rain, I thirst
to go look for you beyond
so you can know
my loneliness.
And I keep walking without having
any place to leave
the dry leaves of my faith...
