La Soledad Es Dura

Loneliness Is Tough
Loneliness is tough, my friend,
When we feel like our skin is burning
And that fire is consumed in vain
Because in the end, not even my ashes remain.
Loneliness is tough, my friend,
When we live with the door open
And instead of hope entering through it
Autumn comes in with its dead leaves.
Loneliness is tough, my friend,
When we learn that the long night
Is filled with melancholy
That it kept when dawn arrives.
Loneliness is tough, my friend,
When sorrows haunt the soul,
When we know we gave it all
And that all was for nothing.
Loneliness is tough, my friend,
As tough as the toughest insult
Like eyes that never cry
Like the thirst awakened by ambition.
Loneliness is tough, my friend,
When prayers no longer work
Because they sink into the great void
That daily indifference creates.
Loneliness is tough, my friend,
When we feel like our skin is burning
And that fire is consumed in vain
Because in the end, not even ashes remain.
Loneliness is tough, my friend,
Loneliness is tough.
