Écailles de Lune (Part II)
Alcest
Moon Scales (Part II)
Hours fly by, the sea sighs
Under distant stars
Laid out in a pinch of gold
Trembling on the waves
She opens her hypnotic dance
And absorbs my faded gaze
Like a soul in suspension
I would without fear
Disappear under the waves
Hear from the depths
Their bewitched lament
They would call me from their kingdom
Of mother-of-pearl and sharp marine scales
To take me far from mine
From a world that is foreign to me
Holding their hand, slowly
I would sink into black waters
Silently welcoming me
Saying goodbye to the morning light
Letting the cold currents
Purify my thoughts, statue my flesh
To find sleep
Deep in the ocean
