Redenção das Águas
Ale de Maria
Redemption of the Waters
A strong wind arrived, and knocked down the clothesline
The clean clothes on the ground, are scattered throughout the backyard
A furious gale, was raising dust
Dirtying the beautiful garden with debris of great uncertainty
White petals stained on the altar of the house to Mother Yemanja
King Ogum of the waters prays to Oxum to come and clean
And a ray of sun came, amidst a gentle breeze
Fell in the backyard, the rain washing the house
Healing the sorrows of the rose, watering the face of the flower
Rebirthed on the altar the purity of a deep love
Everything in the world has a cure praying to the heights, asking for forgiveness
Pains, longings, and sorrows delivered to the waters of redemption
Dancing the twelve moons, waning, new, and waxing
Ending in the full moon three cycles in running water
Long live the sacred family, Jesus, Mary, and Joseph
Hail the trinity of flowers, pillars of love and faith
Drops of painful water washing the wounds of the heart
Tears of Mother Mary healing agony with unity
When the jagube and the queen, as well as the sun and the moon
The man and the woman dance in the waters of the rain
It makes a treasure bloom, gold and fire ablaze
Burning between the couple in a glow of golden stars
White for the wedding the happy days that are to come
I pray for sacred dreams of lovers of endless love
I see a restored clothesline, a circle of clean clothes
Spinning around the sun, coloring the portrait of life
I look at the backyard in the house, I aim at the garden in the house
The white rose on the altar, I pray for a happy ending
