The Junk Dealer
Here comes the Opossum
carrying a load
through all the streets
of the big city.
Mr. Opossum
buys up junk,
and to buy it
he usually shouts.
"Bottles for sale!"
"Used shoes!"
"Worn-out hats,
patched-up pants!"
I trade, sell, and buy the same!
"Spoiled brats!"
"Scaredy-cats for sale!"
"And kids who like
to scream or shout!"
I trade, sell, and buy the same!
Here comes the Opossum
carrying a load
through all the streets
of the big city.
Mr. Opossum
buys up junk,
and to buy it
he usually shouts.
"Papers for sale!"
"Old newspapers!"
"Burnt-up junk
and broken-down stuff!"
I trade, sell, and buy the same!
"Gossipy ladies!"
"Annoying chatterboxes!"
"And nagging old hags
to throw in my sack!"
I trade, sell, and buy!
I buy, sell, and trade!
I trade, sell, and buy the same!
