No Todos Los Cuentos

Not All Stories
Not all stories will have a happy ending,
not all hands were held to grow.
I know castles that are sadder than yesterday,
the ruins of a town dying standing tall.
Not all princes will dress in blue,
not every promise will be made to keep.
There are towers so high that are far from the sea,
foreign princesses, statues of salt.
Look for a light, one more,
something that helps to believe.
Throw your braid Rapunzel,
let me in again.
Not all stories were made for sleeping,
not all dreams come to visit you.
I dreamt of telling a story without time or end,
then next to me I saw you wake up.
It is said that we all have stories to tell
and from what is told we will have another version.
There is nothing like the ear that knows how to listen
but there is no sense like the heart.
