Otro Domingo Sin Sol
Alejandro Filio
Another Sunday Without Sun
What a sense of humor destiny had
played us the cruel joke of heartbreak
and we woke up defeated
another Sunday without sun.
As if it unraveled on the path
like two raindrops in a cyclone
I owe you the lost time
you owe me what was missing.
What weighs more, the snow or all the cold
what will hurt with half a heart
how to start from scratch and into the void
why swear that what was agreed upon is secure.
The silence always dawned with you
or maybe I should say that between us
to keep the secret with me
in case you heard my voice.
Eager to live what we lived for
what a life we made out of fear
you swear there's something burning
I don't feel any warmth.
