The Shop Window
A simple photo, behind a shop window, a cardboard image
that came to life in its soul, among objects placed in total disorder,
lives for sale her smile always the same but different.
They didn't expect their caresses to touch her lifeless skin
he was content just to be able to look at her
just to be able to look at her, just to be able to look at her.
The shop window, will go out again,
I will dream of you and the store will close
but they will open tomorrow, girl, and you will be mine again.
The shop window doesn't say it but it knows that despite being unreal
if I can't see her and tomorrow she's gone
even though she's just a photo, everything else without her is little.
Until one day, without warning, they changed that setting
and removed his lover, he asked people, they just laughed
he went looking for her in the streets in mountains of waste.
And among the rubble and among the objects, he found his broken girl
in dirty and lonely pieces.
He healed her swearing, cleaned her crying and embracing her in the end
he took her for a walk.
The shop window will never go out again
we will dream together and they will never close again
they won't open tomorrow, girl, but you are still mine.
The shop window will never go out again
we will dream together and they will never close again
they won't open tomorrow, girl, but you are still mine...
