Camino a Casa
Alejandro Sanz
Way Home
The mockingbird wonders where it's from
The sky opens up (the sky opens up) and the answer is in its song
One is the paths traveled
The places of love
The place where it buried its navel
I sometimes try to forget that poetry
I leave places with double sands on my heel
I wanted to believe that my memories wouldn't bite anymore
But they want to bite
But they want to bite!
Others told me things I didn't know
It was a beautiful journey, I can't blame them
I've lived seven even lives
With a pencil, I drew the hemispheres
But now that I am the way, the day has come
To return where they know my name
I want to go home
You are far, another world
Where the shout and the whisper
Of triumphs and disasters
I think of you and shake
You are land from another world
Of pure hearts
Your wings are fire
I always want to return
How beautiful is the way home
I always want to return
Return, return, return
I'll try to follow scents, laughter, and joys
That's what was worth
I'll try to find the rivers that say my name
I'll let your riffs play
Melodies of old songs, maybe
Maybe if someone calls me and has aim
One day, through the door of the house, I'll show up
Maybe follow your voice
You are far, another world
Where the shout and the whisper
Of triumphs and disasters
I think of you and shake
You are land from another world
Of pure hearts
Your wings are fire
I always want to return
How beautiful is the way home
I always want to return
Return, return, return
The mockingbird wonders where it's from
I sometimes try to forget that melody
The answer is in its song
I sometimes try to forget that poetry
One is the paths traveled, I sometimes try to forget
The places of love, I sometimes try to forget
The place where it buried its navel
