O Pouco Tempo Que Eu Vivi
Alessandra Samadello
The Little Time I Lived
I caught myself thinking about an old conversation
That I once had with someone
He said things I didn’t want to hear
But I’ll never forget
And he told me that one day I’d be here
Having lived through everything I still had to face
In the little time I lived
Every story has an end
And mine just starts here
The sun rises and sets, taking everything I lived
I’ve tried to stop time
With many sleepless nights
But life happens one day at a time
That’s what I learned
I took up banners, causes I’ve defended
And they weigh heavy on me now
I’ve given up, tried, but didn’t always finish every book I read
I want to understand how I am (and accept God), and accept God as He is
After seeing one chance followed by another chance
To be someone like He wants
Every story has an end
And mine just starts here
The sun rises and sets, taking everything I lived
I’ve tried to stop time
With many sleepless nights
But life happens one day at a time
That’s what I learned
Every story has an end
And mine just starts here
The sun rises and sets, taking everything I lived
I’ve tried to stop time
With many sleepless nights
But life happens one day at a time
That’s what I learned
But life happens one day at a time
That’s what I learned
