Sou Um Pecador

I am a sinner, evil is my desire,
I can no longer control my being.
Inside me is a strong pain,
That steals my peace, and takes away my worth.

I then pray to the Lord Jesus,
Trusting that His great love guides me;
But I cannot see hope in myself,
I am in endless darkness.

Because of my sin, I cannot see
Not even the light that comes from heaven
But I can believe that Jesus wants me,
And that His love is eternal and faithful.

And so I surrender to the loving arms of the Father,
Trusting that His grace is all I will need
And I surrender, O Father, to Your loving care.
For I want to be only Your praise
