The Double Sentence
I don’t like to bother or chat with just anyone
And if someone gets bored by what I say, they can cover their ears or just step outside
The world hasn’t changed much, there have always been poor and rich
That’s why I can never understand why someone else gets to boss us around
When the big fish always eat the little ones
Gold often brings immeasurable troubles
It makes a man despicable for reasons I can’t explain
Turning the poor into rich and the rich into miserable
A lot of people don’t know true values
They live collecting money and after saving so much
Their fortune ends up with whoever’s left as the heir
Justice has been written by smart men
Very capable and aware of the respectable laws
Who have forgiven the guilty and blamed the innocent
It might happen that the law doesn’t inspire much trust
If we look at the scales, we find no explanation
For why so many thieves walk free on bail
These are the things about laws that men have created
Many were forgiven while others died because of them
Even Christ was decided to be crucified
And now I’m leaving slowly like a colt to the corral
And if someone doesn’t like my simple words
I’ll keep doing my thing until the final chord
