Imaginación
Alfredo Olivas
Imagination
What's left of me now is a disguise, or something like that
And I pretend to be alive but I left a while ago
What's left of me now is a breadcrumb
And I make things seem better than they are
I like to believe that someday I'll see you again
I enjoy closing my eyes and starting to run
Imagination is all that keeps me standing
What's left of yesterday is a fierce vestige
That bites and attacks this atrocious present directly
What's left of yesterday is an exemplary punishment
For not acting when I should have
I like to believe that someday I'll see you again
I enjoy closing my eyes and starting to run
Imagination is all that keeps me standing
I like to believe that one day the desert will turn green
That I'll be able to move time at will
To go back, and start growing from scratch again
But for now, before dawn, I would like to see you
