La Ley Del Chinito
Alfredo Olivas
The Chinaman's Law
What can they tell me that I haven't heard before?
What can they show me that I haven't seen?
When they're here with their eyes blindfolded
They swear they're walking on Christ's paths
Or that one who now claims to be a faithful messenger
Yesterday I found out he made deals with the devil
That little angel just fallen from heaven
Today he's going to find out I mean what I say
And as it's already customary
Corridos, not cartoons
And those who laugh now, tomorrow won't cry
When they're with me being held accountable
It will be too late for them to adore me
When their passion was always up for sale
I don't like the nickname of 'tied killers'
But they don't deserve to die any other way
It doesn't heal me, just leaving them lying there
When so much mud was made from their dust
What can they tell me to move me?
Who can ask me to let them go?
The president himself can talk to me
And I swear, I won't untie them
Having them in front of me is what I need
It's my motto until my last breath
The Chinaman's law doesn't apply to me
Here, even if they cooperate, I'll give them the axe
