Los Que Porto
Alfredo Olivas
The Ones I Carry
I've always stuck to the ones I carry and can't stand
When they say no while still holding the stone in their hand
And it's not in vain that I urge them
To take it with me in a healthy way
Whoever wants to be an eagle should take flight
And whoever is a worm should crawl on the ground
But don't scream if I step on you
Just like the leader of Morelos said
If they've already dirtied it, they'll clean it up
Unless they want to settle
With my scar that I have and don't have
And if there's one thing I don't have, it's fear
There are bad memories and other pleasant ones from my childhood
I come from where the orange falls
And in my farms, the best roosters are born
Step up so you know what I'm talking about
Here's another phrase from the aforementioned leader
"I'd rather die standing than live on my knees"
I've more than proven it
To be exact, on a holiday
I don't think much if I have to decide
If it's not clear, I'll repeat it
I know what I have and don't have
And if there's one thing I don't have, it's fear
