Chote de don Tatú
Alfredo Zitarrosa
Tatú's Little Cuts
Dressed up and with his little blue collar,
partying with some Californias,
Mr. Tatú passed by.
And on the way, he ran into a rhea,
who was an old acquaintance,
by the shores of Cuñá-pirú.
The rhea decided at the cockfight,
as he had in his bags
a pretty blue twist.
But a thorn caught Mr. Tatú's attention,
when he eyed the approach
of a light-colored horse.
The Californias from Cerro del Ombú
brought bugs from very far away,
there were even some from Paysandú.
