Un Simple Punto de Vista
Ali A.K.A. Mind
A Simple Point of View
In these years of life I have observed passing by
Memorable episodes that I wanted to share
With transparency, I don't want to run away from my truth
Because before lying, it's better not to write
I don't want to fall into that situation
Where arrogance prevails
And the possession of substance is elegance
That's not essence, nor struggle, nor militancy
That tendency is evidence of abundant ignorance
The importance of hip hop for me
Is not the awards, not the ovations
Nor the nominations
I'm content with touching hearts with verses
And filling my songs with reflections and opinions
At times when there are situations that cause me
Intense depression and I feel like faith is leaving
It's when inside I know
That there are more reasons that urge me to stay
That's why I won't give up
I'll share
With those by my side
I'll leave my ego isolated because it's not going anywhere
Who doesn't know or has forgotten that winning or having won
Is perfect, but enjoying it is a sacred prize
I have enjoyed a tranquility
That hip hop has given me
Out of love and honesty
Out of the respect and humility I've sown in every track
That has flourished to overshadow mediocrity
This is nothing more than a simple point of view
From a chronicler creator of an anti-materialistic art
Anti-classist, anti-racist
Who won't change no matter how much a market insists
Don't measure me against that supposed artist who doesn't write, doesn't compose
But appears in magazines
Because honor is not found in those lists
Of hollow mediocre and narcissistic models
Spread the word that we keep working here
With pure effort and honor we've been dedicating everything
To offer you with respect a dose of consciousness
To the souls of this ghetto
This is for you guys listening
And who have been accompanying me with a fist up
Thank you, for giving me the great honor
Of having you in front of me and feeling your warmth
I thank God for making me a spokesperson
Of a silenced and mistreated underworld
For hitting me and showing me that time
On this planet goes by very fast
And if it's wasted, the goodbye is sadder
Thank you, for the bare minimum and for not having it all
Because with everything, little is valuable
For my parents and their unbreakable dedication
Which has no price but an invaluable value
I remain invulnerable to fools who want to pay me miserably
A price to make me sound
I'm untreatable, untamable, unmanageable and whoever speaks
Comrade stable in the street I must be
It's been years dedicating myself to this to the top spot
Paying a great tax at every step of course
I'm always working modestly and honestly
Not swollen with crumbs like a big part of the rest
My honor is only oriented towards the work it represents
I'm not who I seem
I'm just the one who counts
Who works, who fights and pays rent
And proudly my brother, my own hand feeds me
That's my life, living between a paper and a pencil
Taking care of my syntax, bringing my dream to practice
I'm among the few kamikazes
Who found their catharsis among rhymes and stages
