A Sementinha (O Semeador)
Aline Barros
The Little Seed (The Sower)
The Sower went out to sow
Threw the seed to the soil to cultivate
Some of the seed fell along the path
The birds came, began to scratch
Out, out, out
Get out, little bird
Let the seed into the soil to it grow
Out, out, out
Get out, little bird
Let the little seed into the soil to it grow
Some of the seeds fell among the pebbles
They got so weak and died in the heat
Another part fell among the thorns
They were suffocated, skewered. What a pity!
Phew, phew, phew!
What a hot Sun!
My little seed was dried by the Sun
Phew, phew, phew!
What a daring thorn!
My little seed was pricked and choked by the thorn
Then, the Sower cast it on good soil
Finally, the seed managed to bear fruit
Then it multiplied to form an orchard
And the Sower, then, was able to rejoice
Thump, thump, thump
Your little heart!
It's the good soil for the seed to bloom
Thump, thump, thump
Jesus sows the seed
But it only bears fruit if, in fact, you believe
